This Denver Omelet from Key for Keto was really easy. It took 15 mins as the recipe card stated and filled me up for dinner. I enjoyed the salty ham and satisfying fresh pepper. I was intrigued, what is so interesting about Denver…

The Denver omelet is a classic American breakfast dish consisting of diced ham, onion, bell peppers, and cheese folded into an egg omelet. Denver, Colorado is well-known for this delicious breakfast item and many other attractions. Nicknamed the “Mile High City” due to its elevation of 5,280 feet (one mile) above sea level, Denver is the largest city in Colorado and the capital of the state. It’s a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering year-round access to nearby Rocky Mountain National Park, ski resorts in the surrounding area, and plenty of other attractions including Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park. Denver is also a bustling cultural hub, boasting a number of art galleries, museums, and theaters. From its unique food scene to its vibrant culture and natural beauty, Denver seems like an unforgettable destination for any traveler.

What’s the purpose of folding an omelet?

Folding an omelet requires focus and practice to perfect the technique. To get started, start with a smaller pan or work with less egg at first. It is important to understand that folding too quickly will result in an unevenly cooked omelet. In addition, folding too slowly can result in the egg mixture getting cold and overly set before it is finished being folded. Once you have mastered the technique of folding an omelet, you will be able to make beautiful omelets every time! The key purpose is to create an even cook, and folding helps keep all the delicious fillings inside.

What we think

“This is a delicious omlete. A must have for your keto diet. Bags of flavor in this one. The pepper, galic onion and ham combine very well with the egg and cheese. Ensure you do not over cook the egg. There is nothing worse than over cooked Omlete. We did char the vegetables in our bid to crisp up the ham, as per the recipe, but we went a tad too far. But nonetheless, we did not over vook the egg which is the most important part. We loved this one. It gets a resounding 5 out of 5 stars.”
