Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

In this post, I review the super easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie recipe which comes from the guys over at Key for Keto and their 30 day diet plan.

Made with simple, store cupboard, wholesome ingredients this shake combines all the great flavours of your favourite candy in a refreshing and satisfying beverage. But was it any good? It’s super easy to make, I simply blend all the ingredients together in a blender until smooth, pour into a tall glass, and enjoy! It did satisfy my mid-afternoon craving and kept me full and energised until dinner time. However, this recipe didn’t meet my expectations flavour wise.

Blog fact – the amazing benefits of chocolate and nuts

Chocolate and nuts are some of the most delicious and nutritious foods out there, and they come with a wide range of health benefits. For one, keto dieters often turn to chocolate and nuts for their high fat content, which helps promote ketosis in the body. This can help you feel fuller for longer, while also providing your body with valuable nutrients like antioxidants, protein, healthy fats, and more.

In addition to this, both chocolate and nuts are excellent sources of fibre, which can help keep your digestive system functioning optimally, and they can also be great tools for managing blood sugar levels and reducing cravings.

What we think

“The smoothie that promises so much, but lacked delivery in my opinion. Let’s start with the positives, this smoothie looked like a super tasty milkshake. The recipe made approx 400ml which served both of us and kept us full until dinner time. I was anticipating a real treat. However, this one gets only 2 out of 5 stars. It tasted powdery, the texture was powdery. Too damn powdery people! I’m often cautious about smoothies containing protein powder as it can alter the overall feel and flavour. So whilst the recipe calls for 1/3 cup of protein powder, I would recommend adding protein powder, to taste.”
