Bunless Sandwich with Bacon

I love to eat a bacon sandwich at the weekend but being on a keto diet I though it would not be possible, until I found this Key For Keto recipe.

The eggs are cooked in a mason jar lids, or circular cookie cutter which I used, or anything which is a metal mould. These perfectly, round, succulent runny eggs are strong enough to act as sandwich bread in which to place the bacon. To give the sandwich extra succulence  avocado and melted cheese where added.

Why is bread so bad for you on keto?

Bread is one of the most common foods that people eat, but it’s also one of the worst things you can eat on a keto diet. That’s because bread is high in carbs, which can kick you out of ketosis and make it harder to lose weight. There are a few different reasons why bread is so bad for you on keto. For one, bread is typically made with wheat flour, which is high in carbs. Even if you find a low-carb bread, it’s likely that it contains more carbs than fat or protein. This means that it can quickly kick you out of ketosis and make it harder to lose weight.

Another reason bread is bad for you on keto is that it’s often loaded with sugar. Even if a bread doesn’t taste sweet, it may still have a lot of sugar hidden in it. This sugar can cause your blood sugar to spike, which can make you feel hungry and lead to weight gain. Finally, bread is often made with unhealthy ingredients, such as trans fats. Trans fats are known to cause heart disease and other health problems, so it’s best to avoid them if you’re trying to lose weight. If you’re on a keto diet, it’s best to avoid bread altogether.

Why is keto so fanatical about bacon and eggs?

Keto is all about bacon and eggs because they are two of the most keto-friendly foods you can eat. Both are high in fat and low in carbs, which makes them perfect for a ketogenic diet. Plus, they’re both delicious and easy to prepare. That’s why bacon and eggs are two of the most popular items on the keto diet.

What we think

“Delicious! The saltiness of the bacon and the freshness of the avocado combined with soft, springy eggs made this recipe a winner in our eyes. Definitely a 5 out of 5. The timing for the recipe assumes you have cooked bacon to add, so put an extra 10 minutes on the total time for this recipe.”
