Avocado Blueberry Smoothie
Creamy avocado blends with bursts of blueberry in this delicious smoothie that's perfect as a meal replacement on the go.
I reviewed the Avocado Blueberry Smoothie from the Key For Keto Smoothie recipe book as I am in awe of the benefits of superfoods.
From what I have read, this tasty Avocado Blueberry smoothie is packed with nutrients from fresh blueberries, creamy avocados, and nutritious coconut oil. To make it was really quite easy and quick. I simply placed 1/2 cup of ice in a blender along with the blueberries, almond milk, heavy cream, and coconut oil. I blended well to combine all the ingredients, then I added in the avocado with another 1/2 cup of ice.
Back on the blender for another 30 seconds or so… until smooth, and voila, a delicious smoothie. That’s it in a nutshell…
What are Superfoods?
So, the buzz word for this blog, Superfoods! I hear this phrase a lot so I’ve researched it for you and this is what I found. Superfoods, like avocado and blueberry, are loaded with nutrients that are important for good health. These nutrient-rich foods can help protect against chronic diseases, boost your immune system, improve heart health, and even promote weight loss.
Some studies have also shown that eating avocados may help prevent certain types of cancer, such as skin cancer and prostate cancer. Avocados are also rich in fibre and vitamins C, K, E, and B6.
Blueberries are tiny fruits packed full of antioxidants that can help boost your immune system, protect against cancer and heart disease, and improve cognitive function. Blueberries may also help slow down age-related memory loss and protect against inflammation. Additionally, eating blueberries has been shown to reduce levels of bad cholesterol and promote blood sugar control.
So, now we know! I hope this helps…
