I have prepared a similar meal to this before, however it was served with a portion of rice. After eating this without keto-banned rice, I can not believe how many carbs I used to eat without really needing them.

I combined the sauce and chopped all the ingredients first and then it was simply a case of adding each to the hot pan in a specific order. So simple, so quick and so tasty.

The method of stir-frying

Stir frying is a fast and easy way to cook meat and vegetables. The basic premise is simple: quickly cook small pieces of food in a hot, oiled pan or wok. This method of cooking produces tender, flavourful dishes that are full of freshness and flavour. In most cases, the ingredients require minimal prep work—all that’s needed is a quick chop. As the name implies, you’ll be stirring constantly to ensure that all the ingredients are cooked evenly and thoroughly. When stir frying, it is important to use high-heat oils like peanut oil or sesame oil as they can withstand higher temperatures without burning or smoking. It’s also essential to have your ingredients prepped and ready to go before you heat the oil.

This is because stir frying happens quickly, so having all of your ingredients chopped, diced, or sliced will save time and ensure even cooking. Additionally, it’s a good idea to have a few kitchen towels nearby in case of any splattering oil. When the oil is hot, add the vegetables first, followed by the meat. Depending on the ingredients being used and how they are cut, cooking time can vary. As you continue to stir, it’s important to keep an eye on the food and adjust the heat as needed. Once everything is cooked to your desired doneness, you can season with salt or other spices and serve.

What we think

“As with all the recipes that include sweetener, we always air on the side of caution and put the least amount in possible without altering the recipe too much. It’s not a flavor we like and too much of it can overpower any recipe. It can leave an unpleasant after-taste in your mouth, so be careful.

You can leave the sweetener out of most recipes. We have read you don’t need it to get into Ketosis

So no surprises then we put the minimum amount into this one. We felt we could still taste it, but it wasn’t too bad. The rest of the flavors did come through, particularly the onion and sesame seeds which were added before serving, so the flavors were punchy and fresh. The meat went well with the salty tamari soy sauce. The garlic and chili play back seat roles as their flavor didn’t come through much. It could also do with more ginger, ¼ of a teaspoon was not enough in our opinion. Still a good performer for your Keto diet plan. A solid 3 out of 5 stars.”
