Citrus Green Smoothie

This Citrus Green Smoothie is the perfect, healthy breakfast or snack. Its a plant based, clean eating smoothie recipe that is packed with grapefruit, oranges, greens and protein!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp plant based vanilla protein powder
  • 0.5 large grapefruit, peeled
  • 1 medium orange, peeled
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup strawberries, frozen
  • 2 cups spinach, frozen
  • 1 tbsp honey, optional

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in your Vitamix (or other high powered blender) in the order listed.
  2. Blend for 60 -90 seconds, starting on low and increasing to high speed, until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Serve immediately.

“This is a smoothie that uses protein powder. Invariably, using powder does create a certain taste, so try not to use too much. I was not sure about the banana and grapefruit combination, but Will liked this a lot, me I am not so sure… It was more like 3 portions than the 2 the recipe states. Overall a good 3 out of 5.”
