Chocolate and Macadamia Nut Smoothie
Macadamia nuts have carbs unfortunately but are high in fat and fiber which balances them out and makes them a great keto snack.
Three simple ingredients to make this indulgent keto-friendly smoothie. Its important to have an incredible blender like a Nutri-Bullet. So how did this recipe taste. Let’s find out…
But first, interesting facts about the Nutribullet that you should know!
The NutriBullet is a powerful blender that quickly and efficiently breaks down fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds into nutrient-dense smoothies or shakes. It works by using ultra-high speed cyclonic action to extract the most nutrition from your ingredients. The motor spins at an incredibly fast speed of up to 25,000 RPMs, creating a vortex of blending power that rapidly slices through everything in its path. This power creates a homogeneous blend without large chunks or lumps.
The blades are designed to cut, chop and grind ingredients like carrots and kale into tiny pieces so they become easier to digest while still preserving their important vitamins and minerals. The end result is smooth blends with great texture that provide maximum nutrition and health benefits. The Nutribullet can be used to create a variety of nutritious drinks, smoothies and even sauces in minutes. With its easy-to-use design and powerful blending capabilities, the Nutribullet makes it easier than ever to get your daily dose of healthy nutrition.
Chocolate on keto?
A low-carb chocolate is more than acceptable on a keto diet. I love chocolate but I don’t love protein powder so choosing this style of smoothie where the whey is flavoured makes it just so much more palatable. I bought my protein powder from the local super-store in the vitamin aisle. It was quite expensive to buy outright however I know the large pack will last a long time. I do always add less than the recipe says so the nutritional content wouldn’t be what is stated on the recipe card.
I know the protein powder is doing me good by keeping me full, working my metabolism and supporting my muscle growth and maintenance. Chocolate is a delicious treat that can be enjoyed as part of a low-carb lifestyle. Talking about chocolate, the best chocolate to eat in chunks on a keto diet is dark chocolate as its lower in carbs. I do find dark chocolate bitter but then that’s a great way of not over-eating it which I would do with milk or white chocolate.
