Delicious, exotic ginger and lime are the key flavours in this oriental take on an Italian classic.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 0.5 tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 0.5 lime, juiced
  • 2 tsp chili paste
  • 2 tsp erythritol sweetener
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp sugar free ketchup
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1.5 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp erythritol sweetener

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Combine all meatball ingredients and mix well with your hands.
  3. Form into 16-20 meatballs and place spread apart over a foiled baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165F.
  5. While they are baking, combine all ingredients for the sauce and mix well.
  6. When they come out of the oven, spoon a small amount of sauce over each meatball and garnish with spring onion.
