Pouring Mexican Chocolate Smoothie
Mexican Chocolate Smoothie

A cool, creamy chocolate smoothie with a hint of spice with ingredients to compliment any keto diet – what a treat, thanks to Key For Keto. The addition of ice turns a typical hot chocolate into a smoothie….

Ice can be a great addition to any smoothie recipe and helps make the smoothie thicker and colder, making it easier to drink. It also adds more flavour and texture. When using ice in your Nutribullet smoothie recipes, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you should use less ice than other ingredients when blending to avoid over-crushing the ice. You should also make sure the ice cubes you’re using are small and uniform so they blend smoothly. Finally, adding a few tablespoons of water to your smoothie recipe can help reduce icy chunks. Remember – too much ice in your smoothie will only make it cold and difficult to drink. Adding the right amount of ice to your Nutribullet smoothie recipes will ensure you get a delicious and refreshing drink every time.

Why is Mexican hot chocolate well-known?

Mexican hot chocolate is a type of spiced hot chocolate that is popular in Mexico and other Latin American countries. It is made with cocoa powder, sugar, milk or cream, and spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and chili pepper. The flavour is typically rich and intense with a hint of spice to give it an extra kick. In Mexico, it is often served with a side of sweetened condensed milk or whipped cream. This unique and flavourful beverage has been enjoyed by generations and continues to be an important part of Mexican culture today.

How spicy is cayenne pepper?

Cayenne pepper is a spice that comes from the Capsicum annuum plant, which is native to South and Central America. It is most commonly found in its dried, powdered form, but can also be consumed as a fresh vegetable or used as an extract. Cayenne pepper has been used for centuries by many different cultures as both a food and a medicine. Cayenne pepper is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, manganese and other essential minerals. It also contains capsaicin, an active compound which gives cayenne peppers their characteristic heat. Consuming cayenne pepper can provide numerous health benefits including improved digestion, reduced inflammation levels, relief from pain, and improved circulation.

It is also believed to help with weight loss by stimulating the metabolism and suppressing appetite. Additionally, cayenne pepper has antimicrobial properties that may help to fight infections. In addition to its health benefits, cayenne pepper can provide a flavourful kick to recipes. It is often found in hot sauces, salsas and other spicy dishes, but can also add a subtle heat to sweeter dishes such as baked goods or fruity desserts. The level of spiciness that cayenne pepper provides can vary depending on the variety used, so it is important to be familiar with its heat levels before incorporating it into a dish.

What we think

“I was worried this was going to blow my socks off with the cayenne pepper however I couldn’t taste any spiciness from the pepper, just milky chocolate with a lovely zing. I used the full amount of protein powder in this one, but I am picky with how much protein powder I use and I should have used less than the recipe stated as it was still too powdery for my liking. In that case, I give this smoothie recipe a 3 out of 5.”
