I cooked this fabulous chicken recipe from Key For Keto for my family as a mid afternoon snack.
Grilled chicken is a popular dish on the high street, so I was really pleased to be able to bring this dish to the comfort of my kitchen. Many of these recipes call for garlic.

What actually is involved in marinading?
There are many different ways to prepare meat, but one of the most popular is marinating. This involves soaking the meat in a flavorful liquid before cooking. This can help to tenderize the meat and infuse it with flavor. There are many different recipes for marinades, so you can experiment to find the perfect one for your dish. When marinating, it is important to use a non-reactive container, such as glass or stainless steel. This will prevent the meat from coming into contact with any harmful chemicals that could be released from a reactive container. If you are using a plastic bag, make sure that it is food-safe. Be sure to turn the meat occasionally, I turned mine after one hour, to ensure that it is evenly coated in the marinade. The amount of time that you will need to marinate the meat will depend on the recipe that you are using. Some recipes only call for a few hours, while others may require overnight. Once the meat has finished marinating, cook it as directed in your recipe. Discard any leftover marinade, as it may contain bacteria from the raw meat. Don’t be tempted to use it as although it smells amazing, its really not good for you!

Ingredients
- 10 pieces of chicken drumsticks
- 1 garlic head
- 1.5 cups olive oil
- 1 lemon, juice
- 1 tbsp sea salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- For the marinade. Place the pepper, salt, lemon, garlic and olive oil in a blender and puree.
- Rub the drumsticks with the marinade and separate them into 2 Ziploc bags. Pour an equal amount of the marinade and place it in the fridge for 2 hours.
- Grill them and serve.
Note : If you don’t have a grill you can use a grill pan
