Made with just a handful of simple ingredients, including almond butter, apple, non-dairy yogurt or coconut cream, and cinnamon, this smoothie is a great on-the-go breakfast or snack that is sure to satisfy your cravings for all things cozy and autumnal. Simply blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy, then pour into a tall glass and enjoy.

Apple and cinnamon are two foods that go together perfectly, whether you’re following a keto diet or just looking for a tasty treat, due to the many health benefits of both ingredients, as well as their pleasant flavor combination. Cinnamon is packed with antioxidants which help boost your immune system and protect against disease. It also contains a compound called cinnamaldehyde, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic effects. Apple is rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. It is also high in antioxidants that can help protect against oxidative stress and promote heart health.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 apple (peeled, cored and chopped)
  • 0.5 cup milk (I used organic unsweetened almond milk)
  • 0.25 tsp cinnamon (more depending on your taste)
  • 1 cup non dairy yogurt or 1/2 cup coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend for a few minutes until the desired texture is reached. Its that quick and easy.
  2. Pour in to a tall glass and enjoy your apple pie smoothie.

“This smoothie is gorgeous, it tastes like cosy autumn days. Super simple, the hardest bit was peeling an apple and coring it so there’s no excuses on this one. The star of the show is the cinnamon, and the recipe makes 400ml, enough to be savoured by one person reading a book by a roaring fire. I gave this one 4 out of 5 stars… enjoy.”
